Lip Blush/Lip Neutralization Prep!
Want your Lip Blush & Lip Neutralization to heal flawlessly and last longer?🎀
Your prep starts way before you sit in my chair! Preparing properly for your appointment is one of the most important steps to achieving beautiful results. Prep should begin at least one week prior to your appointment!
Tip #1: Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate!! 💎
Well hydrated lips hold pigment much better and heal much more evenly. I cannot work on dry cracked lips so it is soo important that your lips are moistuirzed. Use your favourite lip balms multiple times, daily for one week. Stay hydrated as well by drinking lots of water!
Tip #2: Exfoliate your lips ✨
Exfoliating will remove any dry, dead skin and will leave you with a beautiful soft base to work on. Pro tip, use sugar and honey to gently exfoliate and voila, baby soft lips. Do this every night for one week.
3. Tip #3: Your lips need SPF too ☀️
Use of an SPF lip balm is so important to protect your lips, even in the colder months. Use SPF daily for one week. Nivea and Aquaphor have amazing ones with an SPF level of 30.
Tip #4: Take antiviral medication if you are prone to cold sores 💊
If you are prone to cold sores- please let me know when you booking. You can get over the counter anti-viral medication for cold sores. Apply daily leading to your appointment.
Tip #5: Avoid alcohol, caffeine and smoking 24 hours before your appointment 🚫
These stimulants are blood thinners and cause swelling, bleeding and pain throughout the appointment, which can also affect pigment retention. Also, avoid the following:
- Advil
- Asprin
- Ibuprofen
Proper preperation is the key to beautiful, healthy long lasting lip results. 💋💌
